Job description
We are currently looking for a talented Sous Chef to fill a key position at one of our clients' prestigious contracts located in Pangbourne, near Reading..
Pangbourne College is a traditional independent boarding school steeped in history and a naval background based just outside Reading.
In addition to our core business of feeding breakfast, lunch and supper to our 414 pupils and 130 staff there is a considerable amount of hospitality from House Dinners to Founders Day celebrations.
As well as having excellent presentation, communication and man management skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
You will:
- Have the ability and confidence to deputise in the absence of the Head Chef
- Have the ability to train and inspire
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge
- Be innovative and creative
- Need to be driven by excellence
- Demonstrate great attention to detail
- Be up to date with current food trends
The job is 5 out of 7 days per week flexible, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. There are a number of hospitality functions for which overtime or time in lieu may be paid.
